WebMay 28, 2024 · U–Pb CA-ID-TIMS data on zircon in a gabbro dyke yield an age of 564·8 ± 2·2 Ma for the two most concordant zircon separates (Z1 and Z2) . The youngest zircon age (547·0 ± 3·7 Ma) was obtained from subsample C-2-20 8A by LA-ICP-MS . This can be interpreted in two principally different ways.
